I didn’t write this novel because I’m a writer—I wrote it because I’ve made plenty of questionable outdoor decisions and letting them die quietly felt like a waste. Somewhere between missed sleep, broken plans, stubborn optimism, and the belief that “this should be easy,” these stories became more than just campfire laughs. This book was my way of preserving the friendships, the chaos, and the moments that remind me why the outdoors keeps pulling me back. If nothing else, it proves that questionable ideas make the best stories—and that laughing at yourself is just as important as any gear you bring along!

A smiling man dressed in camo and orange outdoor gear, holding a muddy hiking boot, in a muddy forest with a truck, a bear and deer behind him, lightning and stormy sky in background, map and glasses on mud, with text 'My Relationship with Mother Nature: Unhealthy, Unpredictable, and Completely My Fault.' and 'Yeah... I’d Do That Again.'

Coming Soon — My Relationship With Mother Nature

She lies on the forecast, ruins perfectly good plans, and has absolutely no respect for dry clothes—and somehow, we keep going back! My Relationship With Mother Nature is a collection of laugh-out-loud outdoor mishaps, bad decisions, and hard lessons learned the only way nature teaches them. From “easy trips” that spiral into survival stories, to friends discovering they are not built for weather, this book is for anyone who loves the outdoors… or at least survives it long enough to complain about it later. Equal parts humor, humility, and mild suffering, this is a love story told through rain, mud, cold coffee, and memories that only get better over time.
